Starting from specific forms of reaction-diffusion equations with functional coefficients that accept certain classes of solutions, we will investigate possible generalizations of those equations that preserve the same classes of solutions. Generalizations will consist of higher-order nonlinearities for the reaction-diffusion coefficients. The study allows, for example, to identify second-order nonlinear equations that can be solved using Ricatti or Bernoulli as auxiliary equations.
